The Arena of Verona is a Roman amphitheater located in the historic center of Verona, an icon of the Venetian city together with the figures of Romeo and Juliet. The Arena is the third largest Roman amphitheater in Italy, after Rome’s Coliseum and the amphitheater of Capua, and it is certainly among the best preserved.
During the summer season the world-renowned opera festival takes place in the Arena and many famous singers perform here. An event that has by now become a tradition in the Arena calendar of events is the final evening of the Festivalbar, during which the winner of the entire singing competition is chosen.
